Court Ordered Anger Management
Always
remember that Anger is only one letter away from danger: Court Ordered
Anger Management classes begin on the first Saturday of each month
from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Humble House in Temple Texas located
at 611 south 7th street. Court
Ordered Anger Management one
on one training will be scheduled on a case by case basis by appointment.
The
duration of the course is 4 weeks.
The
CFMI Anger Management program offers a practical approach to providing
a positive way of developing a healthy personality. The Conover
Assessment is the core assessments in this program. The Assessment
once administered and scored,will identify which skill enhancement
units a client needs to work on. It is very important to manage
stress in order to control anger. Stress is usually the trigger
for anger. Empathy, the ability to put oneself in someone elses
shoes, is a key component in controlling anger .Assertion is a powerful
emotional skill that helps people to communicate more effectively,
honestly, and appropriately. It is the opposite of aggression (anger)
or deference (fear).Change orientation includes the degree to which
people are motivated and ready for change.
The
results of this assessment are a reliable predictor of the potential
for success through training. All court ordered clients are required
to complete the Conover Assessment with an Instructor prior to the
first day of class. The Assessment can be completed via face-to-face
interview or by telephone. All clients will receive a copy of their
Conover Assessment on the first day of class. (See Understanding

The
Court Ordered Anger Management Training consists of 8 hours of face-to-face
group training. All clients are required to bring a notebook, pen
or pencil every class. Certificate of completion will be awarded
onthe last day of class. , they are also required to bring a pencil
or pen. On the last day of class, Certificates of Completion will
be awarded to each client to provide to the Court or to their Probation
Officer.
Clients
that are unable to attend all classes will be given the opportunity
to complete their training by attending the following months Anger
Management Class that they missed.
ALL
FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!
1.
Pre-Registration is required and must be completed before the client
attends the first class as space is limited, there is a Pre-Registration
fee which is Non-Refundable!.
Form of payment must be a money order.
2.
The course consist of eight hours of Anger & Stress Management,
The conover assessment, Reports and updates to probation departments,
Reports and updates to the courts when requested, training and certificate
of completion.
3.
All fees are required to be paid in full prior to the beginning
of the second class.
4.
Hardship cases are calculated on a sliding scale on a case by case
basis.
5.
Advanced one
on one court ordered Anger Management
training is provided by appointment only and
charged Separately.
CFMI Anger Management has been approved by the Bell and Lampasas
county departments of probation to provide court ordered anger management
Training .
CFMI
Anger Management is also an official continuing education provider
for the following. The Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners,
The Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and
the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Your completed course work may be used for continuing education
credit.
