Anger Management Skills Training

Always remember that anger is one letter short of danger: World events have created a dramatic increase in the need for resources to manage stress and anger. The Anger Management Skills Training Course is being offered to everyone who may be interested as a tool to help them within their churches, ministries and communities for personal growth and professional development. The course work is self-paced.

Anger Management is a serious concern to professional providers of Anger Management intervention. There are no laws regulating the provision of Anger Management Intervention. Consequently, Judges have few informed guidelines to use when sentencing defendants to Anger Management classes. One unintended consequence of the absence of state or county standards is the tendency to refer defendants to domestic violence batterers' programs. These programs, by law, are defined exclusively to address issues related to violence in intimate relationships. Defendants who are convicted of road rage, simple battery, or threats are unlikely to gain anything from such programs. Furthermore, such a mixture tends to undermine the effectiveness of domestic violence programs, which are designed to stop violence against women and children.

The correspondence course in Anger Management Skills Training includes course workbooks and certificate of completion once course has been completed. CFMI Anger Management is an official continuing education provider for the following. The Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, The Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.
